I’ve got a cracked screen so it looked like you said “try renting an apple”, I almost cackled
Maybe my first time of conscious awareness being within a very intense dissociative state was a sign.
As a genZer, we can’t get the jobs we were tertiary educated for due to bots and excessive experience standards for entry-level positions, and the relationships thing is a misconception, since everyone in general is more isolated these days, so naturally every generation is facing the harsh reality that getting into a relationship is more difficult than it used to.
In a decade, I could easily say gen Alpha is a “lazy ass ruined generation”, but getting your life settled and stable is difficult, especially in a day and age where you can easily dissociate from your surroundings and problems by indulging in the mind numbing infinite scroll of algorithmically chosen short form videos in your pocketable supercomputer.

Can confirm, we had a few days with only powdered milk and it tasted pretty crap, but I do often hear that people put powdered milk into so many different types of baked goods for the flavour.
What are some recipes you recommend with it? I’ve personally never made anything with it so idk what to start with lol

Then, by all means elaborate on your perspective.
I personally view this issue as a fight between energy technology and energy resources.
If the main energy system is based on a technology that utilises the environment, such as solar, wind, hydro, tidal and others, of course energy output fluctuates due to conditions, but you can mass manufacture and slowly iterate on them overtime, just like how solar pricing has dropped almost exponentially.
If the main energy system is based on utilising a resource, such as natural gas, coal, uranium, thorium and others, of course you’ll get a ton of energy output and systems within can keep it perfectly stable, but the downside is that emissions, accidents, centralisation and the ethics of mining these resources are a pretty substantial issue.
Ideally, we should have an energy grid mostly consisting of passive technology based energy systems, with suitable resource based energy systems coming in second, since we can have the benefits of decentralisation allowing building based and community micro grids to continue functioning, while also having the redundancy of resource energy systems to account for any defects caused by environmental issues, such as volcanic ash blocking the sun in certain areas, but realistically the need for resource energy systems would be low, as the whole environment can’t be nullified by conditions. If there isn’t sun, there would likely still be wind, tidal and hydro, and vice versa for all.
It’d be interesting to see your take.

Fair enough honestly, it’s unfortunate how large of a pool of AI images aren’t labelled as such, and that the only feasible way to get them labelled after the fact is [at least in the case of duckduckgo,] to gather feedback data given by people who search and know that there is the “flag AI generated image” button.
I suppose indentifying AI images is easier said than done, and requires at training and good enough pattern recognition, so it doesn’t mean everyone has to become an expert at recognising them, it really means that these images are flooding everywhere and are a great reason to fervently oppose generative AI.
At this point, I’d say if you want to avoid AI images, you need to see enough of them to find what makes them look off, and with enough time it becomes second nature to discriminate images based on how real they appear.

Why use an AI image for the folding phone when they’re are literally tens of thousands of images of foldables elsewhere?
There is honestly no real justification for creating slop images for a meme or really anything. Last I checked, stock image companies or image copyrighters don’t file lawsuits against creators of memes for badly cropping a stock photo and putting text on top of it.

I genuinely don’t understand people like this who are so averse to thinking that they go out of their way to prompt a language model to get an answer that they should’ve known already.
People in my life say I think to much despite the fact I’m naturally a deep thinker, quick is disappointing to hear from them because I know they use LLMs for “research”, which really means to ask tops 3 questions and think you’re informed.
Well hey, at least the rich can be unthinking dumbasses too
I have a similar level (though I do enjoy other genres as well) of fixation with watching the star trek franchise, but I wouldn’t force anyone to watch it with me, let alone multiple times, especially if they aren’t also into such a genre.
If I were in a relationship and my SO we’re to watch shows with me, I’d be fine with us alternating between our genres. If your partner doesn’t want to be open minded about your interests too, then they ought to not be in a relationship until they figure that out.

And not to get political, but I’ve seen a pattern of how the right often demonises many genres of books (even vowing to campaign about book burning), but also never encourage anyone to read, instead they implicitly glorify short form video and brainrot.
For all the issues the left has, reading isn’t one of them, and in numerous areas of leftist politics reading theory is seriously encouraged and deliberated on.
I have a few right wing family members who are multiple times my age, and they struggle at reading, and hence have pretty bad attention spans, almost no critical thinking or analytical skills, and they find short form media very appealing, which acts as a time sink for them rather than doing anything of real interest. For myself, of course I occasionally watch YouTube shorts and Instagram reels, but a lot less than peers and family, partly because I know the health consequences and how much it messes with my mind, but also an even more important fact, reading is many times more enjoyable, since it engages my mind and I can imagine extremely vivid imagery, so why waste it?

The best way to sleep when you can’t is calculate a trajectory where you run, jump and hit the headboard so hard you get a concussion, works every time! /s ofc

Sounds to coherent for him honestly
Especially the water pistol

I hope The Onion doesn’t go bankrupt because of Trump, since they can’t even get a satirical article made because everything real is currently on the level of satire
