Exactly, if you say that AI is ethically bad and doesn’t work, to someone who uses it and clearly sees it works well for them, it just invalidates your argument.
If you just stick to the ethics your argument can’t be dismissed in that way.

No, but anyway it’s not correct that GPS function only works in one direction
GPS works in one direction. GPS satellites send one-way GPS signals, they receive no information back from your phone.
With GPS on they can find you with a precision of few meters
Yes, very likely.
Not possible if GPS works only in one direction
Absolutely possible. For example Android phones can, and in most cases do, send your location (that your phones figures out from GPS signals) to Google, with your internet connection, either Wi-Fi or cellular data. GPS signals don’t need to be bidirectional for that to happen.

It would, my bad, I was on mobile then and already closed the article when I went back here to read comments.

Yes, the quote you posted supports my comment. The frontlines are in Ukraine, not in Russia. The quote you posted refers to operations inside of Ukraine. If you thought that “behind the frontlines” means “in Russia”, the article clarifies below:
But, ironically, it would have no impact on Ukraine’s deep strike bombing of oil refineries because Kyiv is banned from using Starlink to hit targets inside of Russia.

Did you read the article? It specifically says that’s not the case and so the Starlink disruption does not affect that.

Wayland isn’t a piece of software, it’s a protocol. So I don’t know where the feature request should go (depends on the desktop environment), but not to Wayland.

That’s called hiring a team of developers.
Yeah, and this is called “prompting some vibe coded software”, but we are looking a single word title that applies to such a person. “Producer” makes sense I guess, but did he really “produce” it or did he just tell someone or something to produce it?

Hmm, I see what you are going for but is “instructor” the proper term? To cut AI out of the picture, let’s say the guy instead of paying for tokens paid a team of developers who did the work for him. What would you call the guy then? He does exactly the same amount and type of work in both cases, but obviously noone would call him “instructor”.

It has nothing to do with feelings. Talking in a very hostile way is a strategy to get the model to go around it’s set rules, and that’s what they are trying to prevent. Yes it’s ridiculous, but it had nothing to do with caring about the model.

I don’t think that was the point of the comment you replied to.
The point is that even if it was a real video, it’s not illegal. Just like a video of 9/11 is not a terrorist attack nor is it illegal, it’s just a video of one.
You are correct, but also there are many of these big corpo SaaS’s so it’s not like if one goes away they would be stuck. Locally run AI models are also increasingly capable and I firmly believe that in 5 years open source local models will be the primary source of AI coding assistance either way.
You could say the same about any of the IDE’s, commercial or not. Yes an IDE is a dependency that could away, but also there is plenty of alternatives.
I don’t see how it’s “silly”. It’s unethical, nothing silly about it. I think that someone like Linus, who freely shares code he writes with all and thinks everyone should do so, has little care for the woes of proprietary codebases being slurpled up by the coding models. After all he dedicated his life to fighting commercial codebases.
Agree.
