I guess it’s nice to see the anti-AI hysteria being used for something constructive :p

1·15 hours agoi thought i the project had changed their name :p
Honestly, in the age of Flatpak and containerization (as well as Debian often being well-supported by upstream projects for script or package-based install), I feel like the age of Debian packages isn’t that annoying anymore; anything important gets security patches, and it’s easier than ever to use 3rd party software without breaking your system.
i was pleasantly surprised in 2023 to learn that debian was still king in the server space and precisely because of this – i remember doubting trying debian on my personal hardware because of the age of the packages back around 2004.

can it reach graphene os levels of privacy – where not even apple or isreal have the ability to look at the contents of your phone?
board games or poker seem to work best – make friends with the host that decides that small talk and alcohol aren’t the only ways to socialize.
you’re preaching to the choir – i stopped trusting them when their ceo needlessly voiced support for ttrump and i shared my comment because i’ve been experiencing the downvotes/anger from the proton brigade on lemmy for it.

I’ve never seen anyone side-by-side compare the merits of iOS vs graphene os in this context and @TrollAccount69@lemmy.ml has given me reason to trust their take on the matter previoussly, so I asked.
I have nothing against iOS or Apple.
Or at least nothing out of the ordinary. :p
