Robot Dreams is so depressing and unnecessarily cruel that I wouldn’t recommend it. Maybe things pick up by the end, but I couldn’t make it through it.

It’s a linear game, but I enjoyed it a lot. Not sure if the parrying is more forgiving or if the timing for parrying is just more direct, but I found it a lot easier to get into the rythmn compared to sekiro.

I hadn’t heard of ArmadaOS before. Does it really make that big of a difference compared to running GameNative on android? Cause 3D games really do suffer.

I think it’s more likely they make it dangerous enough that large countries can’t afford to not have it. That’s what largely seems to be happening in the US and China, both countries probably see AI as both a weapon and defensive tool.

My response was only in regard to the speed in which something like IoT devices can operate.
You’re right that goals/directions of LLMs can be persisted anywhere, but a swarm or fleet of AI running on IoT devices will be severly hampered by compute (based on current models). Which was the main point I was making, in that there is only so much you can do to distribute their processing. Meaning you can parallelize the number of models, but can’t speed them up beyond a certain limit. This is based on the fact that some form of a layer and it’s weights must exist within the memory of a single device.
The downside to this limitation is that it is temporary, eventually IoT devices will probably be powerful enough, or the worms could just attack phones/laptops and easily get the compute they need. I think the real risk of IoT devices is low security mixed with low “supervision” (no one would easily notice their IoT device is doing extra processing).

This is like the like the “9 women in one month to make a baby” comment.
There is only so much you can distribute the layers of a model due to interconnectedness. And you can’t run multiple inferences at the same time because the next token relies on the previous.
You could be doing multiple things at once, but each task will run “100,000x” if the OC did their math right.

Came to say the exact same thing, the only scam (with any real college, no for-profit/etc. colleges) is the cost. If you can go for cheap/can afford it, college is a great thing to do and a great way to better yourself.
It reminds me of when Netflix was big and I told everyone they’d have commercials eventually. Sure you can still buy a plan without commercials, but I suspect that eventually, when money gets really tight for them, will go away.
Same thing here. Right now passkeys are “open”, but who is to say my bank won’t require a Apple/Google managed passkey in the future. Hell, I can’t run the bank app without running a Apple/Google approved apk.

The biggest issue with TLJ that I don’t see brought up a lot is that it left no where for the story to go.
We enter the movie with the First Order the only force in the galaxy after only destroying a few planets in the last movie, and somehow the resistance is even smaller than it was before.
We end the movie without really anything changing (except the resistance is even smaller - like 20 people).
Unless it was going to be four movies, TLJ doesn’t leave a lot of directions for the story. It basically has to be Rey trying to decapitate the head of the First Order by killing Ben. Rise of Skywalker fails because TLJ didn’t do anything to move the plot, forcing two movies worth of plot into one.

It was sooo frustrating cause they shut down Harris at one point, like stop letting Trump steam roll you and be consistent on who can speak.
Does the ending make it worth it? I watched it on a plane and bailed after I saw enough abuse at the beach, but could be tempted to give it another try if the ending at least provides some decent closure or meaning to the story.
