Well yeah it’s Danny Carey, Stuart Copland, Chad Smith and the other guy I didn’t know before the movie.

Which 1950’s TV broadcast triggered it?
And probably still reversible if we could get our fucking capitalism in check.

Electric Vehicles@slrpnk.net•Smart #2 revives the electric Fortwo with 290 km of range for €19,990English
3·6 hours agoThe smart suffered from some aerodynamic penalties for being so tall and its short length.
But the smart could also handle crashes muuuuuuch better than the Geos and part of the reason we have had gas mileage losses since the early 90s were that crash structures and air bags have had to keep pace to protect against the oversized SUV threats we face on roads now.
We really should be setting road taxes based on vehicle weight with much higher penalties on heavy cars and trucks. That would incentivize smaller vehicles and we’d all get safer and more efficient at the same time.
I was a kid in the 80s and familiar with Stallone’s nickname.
But the sad horse didn’t even remotely conjure the term stallion in my head. Those fuckers are usually jacked prancing or jumping things.
It also could have been pretty good contrast humor to go from wiggly squiggle art to a huge buff horse worship drawing before dropping the punchline.
Came here to post this. They are right next to each other in my feed right now.
The tribute movie with guest drummers is really good if you haven’t watched it yet.

1·8 hours agoThey use the world terrorist just as freely as traitor. As long as it isn’t to describe any of their own terroristic or traitorous actions.
Terrorists need to take action or at least plan actual attacks.
This clearly isn’t a requirement for using terrorism as a fear mongering label. They will call any ideology they don’t like terrorism.

21·9 hours agoAren’t we assuming the data center buildout is to monopolize compute and turn our home computing into dumb screens?
That’s what I think the hyper scalers are planning, especially after the LLM bubble pops.

2·12 hours agoMinneapolis isn’t on the list either (though St. Paul is). I bet it’s already got a presence set up from before. Same for DC and Baltimore.
Or worse, they select it, but want some changes and end up blowing the budget, timeline, and good taste out of the water all at once.

Technology@lemmy.world•Did “Russian bot traffic” really disappear after Ukrainian strikes on Yandex servers?English
2·1 day agoUnfortunately the Russian plan has already convinced a majority of republicans of their talking points. So now a decent proportion of the “bots” are human parrots who now largely believe their own bullshit. Or at least believe they need to troll to win for their side. Taking out the bots is nice, but a decade too late.
I’ve been restoring classic cars for 3 yeses now. Lost my company 3 months before the pandemic and haven’t looked back.

What’s confusing is that I’m 10 years older than the target audience for the Animorphs too. Tha stuff was my little brothers age, I was a junior in high school when those came out and I only have heard the title of them through memes.
