I guess what I was trying to get at. Why isn’t there a NAAFAP. For All People? Having specialized groups kind of seems we are going back to segregation again. Why not everyone one be equal and everyone should be happy.

They do exist in all sorts of ways, not sure why you believe they don’t. There are even specific groups for each individual flavor of “white” (Irish, Italian, etc.). Typically, groups like this become less active as they become less repressed/disadvantaged (people no longer need to organize for safety or to secure their rights once society broadly accepts them and they are no longer under threat). Irish, for example, were once not regarded as “white”, same for Italians.

It’s the same ignorant bullshit people have been doing for thousands of years, there’s always some sort of out group when people in charge are looking for a scapegoat.

I know it’s a joke but no I wasn’t. BLM gave me the idea to put more attention and do volunteer work for disenfranchised people or regions world wide. I was wearing shirts saying all Kurds Lives Matter. They have had it way harder than any group I know of and they already have a state divided up and a couple countries would lose land but not that much to make a difference. But Turkey repress them so much that’s why the PKK is seen as a terrorist group. They toppled a dictator in Syria, helped us in Iraq and Afghanistan. Time to get off my soap box now sorry about that…much love and thanks for commenting. And I hate the police or any authority figure who wields their power or miss gotten opportunities above some one else.

While institutionalized racism affects many different groups, Black people faced slavery, Jim Crow, and heavy resistance to the civil rights movement by both the government and communites. These did not only affect Black people, but did disproportionately target them over others. The history and scale of institutionalized racism against Black people in the US is just massive, despite the horrible treatment of other ethnic groups, and so the organizations fighting for their civil rights are more prevalent.

White people as a group are aren’t marginalized in America. I’d bet that the other groups you listed have similar organizations.

I think you may be missing a negative in your opening sentence.

White people as a group are marginalized in America.

      Fox News would argue otherwise.

But in all seriousness, look at the past 100 years and all sorts of “white” groups have been marginalized. It used to be that the Irish and the Italians were both dubbed “not good enough” back in ”the day”. That’s part of why “Columbus Day” became a holiday originally.

These days? Yeah, not so much, but you’ll still see some vitriol towards Eastern Europeans for instance.

But you’ll also see Italians decrying immigrants and how the foreigners are ruining things, and missing the plot.

I agree. To expand on my original meaning, there isn’t nearly as strong of a “White people” identity in America like there is for Black people or for individual ethnicities. Even the actual “White power” people tend to be a specific subset like Southern, Northern European, Protestant, etc.
