No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•my ex made this statement, what are your thoughts on it?
4·12 days agoWhere is the statement?
Nikko retired.
In the later films, thanks to advances in special effects, Thing (played by Christopher Hart’s hand) is able to emerge and run on his fingertips, much like a spider. In Addams Family Values, Thing is shown driving a car into Debbie to rescue Uncle Fester. After this, Fester gets into the car and Thing drives them off to the Addams Family Mansion, albeit erratically, frightening Fester in the process.
Maybe so!
I know you already edited your comment, but you are still going to get the reply I wrote up before you did so.
Thing was in the very first Addams Family strip with Morticia, and Lurch, published 6 August, 1938.

Fester’s first appearance was in January 1941, in a strip I have yet to share. He was not even a member of the Family until 1950 when Fester was pictured on the cover of the book Monster Rally.

There are only two strips that feature It, or Itt in the TV series. However you may notice It or another relative covered in hair is also on the cover of Monster Rally.
Even though I have yet to properly introduce Fester, he was the subject of the very first strip I shared in this project.

to your heart’s content
idiom
If you do something to your heart’s content, you do something enjoyable for as long as you want to do it:
You’ve got a whole week to yourself and you can read to your heart’s content.

Comic Strips@lemmy.world•A Debt to Cartoonists (Bloom County by Berkeley Breathed)
2·18 days agoBreathed has never hidden the fact that he was heavily influenced by Trudeau. Before there was Bloom County, there was Academia Waltz, which was basically Doobesbury with a little humor… or Bloom County with less humor.

10·18 days agoI think you may be missing a negative in your opening sentence.
White people as a group are marginalized in America.
Like me, Jucika is messy when it comes to eating ripe fruit. She requests a privacy screen from the waiter so that she can eat in the nude and not get her clothing dirty.

That is where I fucked up.
