nah, it has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with politics. christianity is the religion of the white supremacist western empire. they don’t actually care about christianity but about using it as a tool to impose a reactionary ideology. i know many christians in latin america and their thoughts are very different, because here in the exploited backyard we have adopted religion as a liberation movement (until the us nazi regime started introducing pentecostals to fight against liberation theology). so i’m sure the actual link is that stupidity is reactionary, and being a reactionary is stupid.
