I was forcefully switched to Wayland a year or so ago and didn’t even notice until I tried to run some
xdotoolstuff. The average user doesn’t know and doesn’t care about X.ORG.And of course all the issues are typical C issues 😄 It will take some time to get rid of that language, but time can’t pass fast enough.
insecure garbage that should have been dumped years ago
jesus h christ bud show me on the doll where xorg touched you.
did xorg also run over your grandmother or something?
does anyone still use x?
have been on wayland since like ubuntu 22.04 no issues
Yes, and have no issues.
you do realise we can see the title of this post right?
sounds like you got about a dozen issues (again)
Which likely require very specific conditions to trigger and are not being actively exploited by anyone. “A potential issue exists” and “I have no issues (because my use case does not overlap with that potential issue and so the code involved is never called)” are not mutually exclusive. I’ve had no issues personally with X either, even though I know it has bugs—it’s non-trivial software, so of course it does. Wayland does too. It’s just that there are fewer people who get their jollies from pointing them out.
If Wayland works for you, go ahead and use it, but kindly don’t spend your time calling out people who don’t share your preferences. It’s both offensive and tiresome.
alright i’ll leave you and your buggy insecure crap alone 👍
