I don’t think Putin is controlling them. They just want to grab opportunity of the dismantling system for their delusions of grandeur. Which is worse. That means that getting rid of Putin will change little because other shitheads will continue.
They are directly funded by Russia as is most of European far right and odd tankie party.

He is not controlling all that they do, but he is funding them and and telling them what to think about certain issues. This take on Ukraine being a common talking point among all right wing parties across Europe (and the world) is not a coincidence.

It does. They want a might makes right system for them to operate from. Its why Trump followed Putin in its logic. Trump got Venezuela and Iran that way. If we are lucky we will never know what AfD wants to get out of this.
