there is this running gag that furries are mostly made up of computer geeks who are in rather advanced positions within different digital fields
The joke I heard is that a plane going to a furry convention crashing would cripple the IT industry.

Not true, some of them want to raise goats.

It’s gaudy, fake, ugly, unsustainable and stupid.
Apparently it used to be relatively cheap, so people put up with those things. I wonder if Vegas will survive the price hikes.

No. SLAAC is where you listen for a router advertisement and generate an address based on that. Link local addresses don’t need RAs.

Without being able to see the two global addresses, it looks like one’s much shorter than the other and they both have the dynamic flag, so my guess is one is from DHCPv6 and the other is SLAAC.
So they’re possibly something like:
2001:db8:1234:5678::10
2001:db8:1234:5678:9abc:def0:1234:5678
The fe80 link local address is it’s own thing. Every IPv6 interface gets one and they’re only valid on that network.
Meat proxy is my favourite term for these people.

Google, Amazon and Microsoft will be fine.
Oracle, though. It’s possible they’ll actually die. And wouldn’t that be tragic.
“Guns don’t kill people, people kill people! Don’t do gun control, it’s all because of mental illness!”
“Okay, let’s do something about mental illness.”
“No!”

Most boondoggles don’t burn trillions of dollars. AI is starting to hit a wall already because there just isn’t any more money. It’s why there’s this desperate push to go public even though their financials are a dumpster fire.

It’s not just the drive letter mapping, Wine doesn’t make any attempt to secure software.
You can run Wine inside an actual security solution.

Yeah, Wine is not a secure container. Don’t count on it for security.
You’d write the code in something else and then be like
import 3dengine
3dengine.run()

You get games that are several hundred gigabytes these days - high resolution art assets are big.
Filling up a 1TB drive is easy. 100TB, yeah, that’s a lot of space.
Don’t count bytes, look at what they can store: 1TB will hold like four to eight recent AAA games.
The lettuce is still crunchy, even.
