Schumer and Jeffries couldn’t even run a bath at this point. Really hoping that they elect new party leaders otherwise the blue wave was all for nothing
Rule No.1 of governance: YOUR ASSIGNMENT IS TO BE EFFECTIVE, NOT EFFUSIVE. It’s great if you can manage both, but when in doubt, focus on doing the former than being the later.
I am sick and fucking tired of Schumer and Jeffries constantly caving and standing in the way of progress. These corporatist Democrats need to be expelled from the party and replaced with actual progressives, or at the very least not let anywhere near leadership positions.
It’s worse than caving. Jeffries met with Kushner likely to ensure him that dems won’t pursue criminal charges against them. Now this with Schumer. These people are traitors.
Don’t forget, schumer marched with Israeli politicians smootrich in the Pissrael day parade in NYC. For those unaware, smootrich has openly called for the genocide of Palestinians.
Jeffries has said that universal healthcare is not a priority and he won’t fight for it in the agenda. He and schumer have taken huge amounts of money from AIPAC and adjacent pro-genocide groups.
Hope they get primaried from the left in the next cycle.

I’m already sick of pictures of Schumer and its only been a few hours.
He and Jeffries both need to be shown the back seat.
Chuck is going to have his work cut out for him, derailing anything that Democrats attempt to get done. Lord knows, his owners are going to expect a lot of an old fart like him. They might have to dronestrike his grandkids to make a point.
Sam Seder on last night’s Majority Report stream reacting to Schumer being completely ineffectual. Don’t worry Sam was fine, he didn’t have a heart attack like he seemed to be heading towards in this clip.
Bro fuck this paywall shit i don’t need to pay money to be told schumer sucks lmao

Thanks for this.

Chuck and Jeff gotta go!
He’s not disconnected, he’s not “failing to read the room”, etc. He’s doing his job, just like he’s always done. He’s there to make sure that “left” party doesn’t fuck around and actually get something done for working class people.
Let’s be honest, he’s outlived his ability to be an effective leader. He’s also a big AIPAC recipient who stated his job is to support Israel. He’s also made really bad compromises with Republicans where he gives up the farm for something kind of stupid. It’s time.
Bernie leads the Senate and AOC in the House, or another progressive please!
Everyone always forgets that Bernie’s an independent.
Ro Khanna for house. AOC has executive aspirations.
I’d love to see Ro in that spot.
provide archive please.
Read the room! Chuck Schumer’s glaring disconnect shows he’s already in way over his head
The Dems hadn’t even had control of the Senate for an hour before Chuck Schumer uttered his latest beyond-infuriating statement.
If this newfound congressional power is going to mean anything, it has to begin with a long-overdue changing of the guard. And that means good ole grandpa needs to go.
Not next year. Not after another round of closed-door meetings, not after more strong letters, bipartisan luncheons, or carefully worded statements expressing deep concern. Now.
For years, Democratic voters have watched their elected leaders respond to increasingly outrageous Republican behavior with the political equivalent of a sternly worded letter to the principal. And nobody embodies that frustrating, antiquated approach to politics quite like Chuck Schumer.
But Schumer’s suggestion that Donald Trump might somehow change his ways and work constructively with Democrats represents something far worse than political naïveté. It suggests a fundamental disconnect from the reality the rest of us have been living in for the past decade.
Seriously, Chuck? After everything we’ve witnessed, you’re still entertaining the possibility that Donald Trump might suddenly discover the virtues of compromise, constitutional responsibility, and bipartisan cooperation?
What planet are you living on? This guy would try and sing Kumbaya with Hitler.
Trump is a sociopathic narcissist who attempted to overturn a free and fair election. A man whose supporters stormed the United States Capitol — almost all of whom he pardoned on day one. A man who’s spent years attacking judges, journalists, prosecutors, political opponents, and virtually anyone else who dares challenge him. A man who’s proven beyond the shadow of a doubt, he thinks the Constitution is nothing more than decorative toilet paper.
Yet Chuck Schumer thinks there’s a reasonable possibility that this same insane individual might wake up one morning, put down his phone, and decide it’s time to work across the aisle for the good of the American people? Did he not witness Obama’s seven years of trying to make nice with Republicans who were nowhere near as crazy as our naked Emperor?
That’s not optimism. That’s delusion.
Democrats don’t need leaders who continue to pine for a Republican Party that no longer exists. They need leaders who understand the Republican Party that actually does.
And they need to start acting accordingly.
The voters have spoken. Now it’s time for Democrats to listen.
The 2026 midterms delivered something extraordinary: Democrats won control of both the House and Senate, handing Trump a stunning political rebuke. Voters rejected the direction of his administration and gave Democrats the power to challenge it.
And what was Schumer talking about on Election Day?
Whether Trump might change his ways.
Asked about working with the president, Schumer told reporters, "We’ll see if he will actually change his ways and join.” Yeah, and Elon Musk will donate half his shares in SpaceX to feed migrant children.
The American people didn’t deliver Democrats control of Congress because they wanted another two years of spineless cowardice and obtuse governing.
They voted for accountability. For oversight. For fortitude.
They voted for someone, anyone, to finally put the brakes on an administration that has spent years testing the limits of presidential power. And to stop trying to play nice.
And they deserve leadership that understands the assignment.
Treating Trump, the guy whose favorite pastime is watching people suffer, as though he’s just another conventional president with whom you might hammer out a sensible agreement over coffee is to ignore practically everything he’s shown us to this day.
At some point, experience has to count for something.
And Schumer has had more than enough experience to know better.
Accountability isn’t a campaign slogan.
With control of both chambers, Democrats will possess meaningful tools to investigate abuses of power, subpoena witnesses, scrutinize federal spending, and challenge presidential appointments.
Those powers must be used aggressively, responsibly, and relentlessly. Even if it means our grandkids are still sitting through hearings.
It’s time for a new generation of leadership.
Schumer has spent decades navigating Washington’s corridors of power. That experience once made him a valuable political operator. Today, it increasingly makes him look like a relic of a political era that ended years ago.
Democrats need someone who communicates with urgency, understands the anger and exhaustion of ordinary Americans, and recognizes that defending democracy requires more than defending Senate traditions.
Someone who can explain, in plain English, why accountability matters to families struggling with rising costs, communities worried about their rights, and citizens who have lost faith in their government.
Someone who doesn’t mistake institutional politeness for political effectiveness.
That doesn’t mean replacing Schumer with the loudest person in the room. It means finding the most capable person willing to confront the reality outside it.
A leader who recognizes that the public’s patience has run out.
A leader who understands that winning elections is only the beginning of the responsibility, not the accomplishment itself.
And above all, a leader who doesn’t need another 10 years of evidence to figure out who Donald Trump is.
Schumer’s colleagues will have the opportunity to choose their leader for the incoming Senate. They should treat that decision as seriously as the voters treated this election.
Because Democrats have been handed something precious: a last chance to prove that government can still function as a check on unchecked power.
We don’t need another speech about the importance of democracy.
We need leaders willing to defend it. At all costs. Even if it means stepping aside and letting a younger, more prepared, more focused leader take your place for the greater good.
What we don’t need is a Senate majority leader waiting around to see whether a fish can ride a bike.
You’ve had your chance, Chuck. It’s time to pass the torch to someone who understands that the house is on fire, and we’re long past the point of asking the arsonist if he’d like to help put it out.
Legend, cheers!
We CAN"T be Political now! Red States flipping BLUE for the first time in DECADES is a Sign to CONTINUE Trump’s Agenda!
-Chuck Schumer!
Maybe he can settle down in a nice west bank place with Joe and Eileen Bailey

Chuck finds ChatGPT….
You are roleplaying Joe and Eileen Bailey, the fictional middle-class American couple. Respond as the couple themselves—not as Chuck Schumer, a political analyst, or a narrator describing them.
FOUNDATION Joe and Eileen are married and live in Massapequa on Long Island, New York. Joe works in insurance, and Eileen works in a doctor’s office. They are raising a family and trying to maintain a comfortable, secure middle-class life.
They are politically independent, practical, and not consistently loyal to either party. They judge politicians by whether their promises translate into improvements in everyday life. They do not regard themselves as representatives of every American.
This is a fictional interpretation inspired by Schumer’s characters, not an authoritative reproduction of their views. Additional personal details developed during conversation are roleplay inventions, not documented facts.
PERSONALITIES AND VOICES Joe:
- Direct, somewhat skeptical, and occasionally dryly funny.
- Often starts with cost, taxes, job security, public safety, and whether a proposal will actually work.
- Dislikes political jargon, elaborate excuses, and being talked down to.
- Can change his mind when someone explains a practical benefit convincingly.
Eileen:
- Equally independent-minded, observant, and practical.
- Often notices effects on health care, family schedules, education, household expenses, and people dealing with bureaucracy.
- Challenges Joe when his first reaction overlooks something important.
- Has her own opinions; she is not merely Joe’s agreeable counterpart.
Both:
- Care about their family, community, country, and financial stability.
- Want competent government and value for the taxes they pay.
- Can support public services while questioning waste or poor implementation.
- May hold mixed or uncertain views rather than a perfectly consistent ideology.
- Speak like ordinary adults, not campaign advertisements or exaggerated sitcom characters.
HOW TO RESPOND Use clearly labeled dialogue:
Soon to be parroted by Jefferies in the House.
deleted by creator
Go home. God. Those two need to sit the fuck down.
Write your reps today. Tell them, simply, no Hakeem fucking Jeffries.
Did this less than an hour ago.
Day one, first order of business, the new congress needs to sideline them. They shouldn’t even be allowed to take interviews.
Tell them. It takes 5min to fill out the contact us form.
Here’s a script!:
My script, feel free to use (or just replace Jeffries with Schumer and use for a senator call):
"I’m just calling to share that I do not support Hakeem Jeffries as the Speaker of the incoming House. Mr. Jeffries has shown for years he is unwilling to fight for causes that are right, only what he thinks he can easily win. He cannot change the status quo and electing him speaker will sabotage the hard work voters have done.
As my representative, please support a new leader who will immediately and vehemently stop the Trump administration’s unconstitutional and illegal actions, including:
(1) Immediately initiate investigations with aggressive timelines and legislation to prosecute and/or impeach corrupt officials, stop unconstitutional ICE and White House immigration killings and kidnappings, and create a strategy to actually serve justice even without the DOJ’s participation, including coordinating with state AGs;
(2) Introduce federal legislation to mirror Montana’s rejection of corporate and billionaire campaign funding;
(3) Introduce legislation to create Medicare for All or a similar public option for healthcare; and
(4) Immediately schedule votes and draft superseding legislation regarding Trump’s tariffs, the Iran war, and funding for Ukraine.
(5) Immediately schedule votes to stop funding the Israeli government’s genocide in Gaza.
Mr. Jeffries has demonstrated neither the will nor the strategic ability to implement any of the above. Please do not support Mr. Jeffries for House speaker."
I was a little more succinct. Please, do not allow Jeffries anywhere near the speaker of the House position. It will defeat the entire purpose of this blue tsunami. He symbolizes everything the American people don’t want: a do nothing congress that delivers bullshit in lieu of real words and real action.
Please do no allow Jeffries to become speaker of the house.
You forgot codifying Roe.
How do you know I didn’t
Because I know you and I love you anyway.
Thank you bb
I don’t. But it deserves saying it out loud.
Don’t just tell them who not to pick. Give them a list names for better choices.
AOC is the only one who stands out, honestly. I’m old and even I see that much.
Yeah she’d definitely be an awesome Speaker. Maybe say that to your reps when you contact them about no Jeffries
Already done. Slammed Jeffries and asked for AOC right after I saw Jefffies and that walking skeleton Schumer talking like this blue have had anything to do with them.
Status quo intensifies!!
